This morning, after the latest software update (Marshmallow), my phone required me to enter a pattern to log back into my phone. I didn't have to enter a pattern code before! Now, after several unsuccessful tries, its asking for a back-up PIN--which I also don't know! I need help on how to log back in!!
Earlier, I asked this same question on this forum and I was told: "Use Android device manager to lock the phone with your google account"
But I'm not sure how this suggestion helps at all. I need to "unlock" my phone, not "lock" it. I logged into Google, but my phone has to have been registered previously for ADM to work at all. Any other advice on how I can get back into my phone without doing a factory reset??
