I am using an OTG Cable for my Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablet that allows me to read my external (500gb) drive. I want to use this external drive with my Note 4 also.
I don't need another cable, just an adapter for the one I have. I get confused with cable names, numbers etc. I've attached a photo and circled the connection that plugs into my tablet. This is the connector I need to get adapter for so I can plug into my Note 4. I believe I need a USB female to Micro USB. Is that correct?

The adapter you'd need is a USB 3.0 Micro B female to USB 2.0 Micro B male. It's probably about the same cost to just get a new cable, and more reliable too.

Pretty sure you can use any Micro USB otg cable, as the superspeed (that's the connector you have) is a actually micro USB with a 2 or 3 pin connector.
