How can I the wifi working on my Note 5

I have tried to turn the wifi on my Note 5 and it just won't work. I keep getting a messages saying "no wifi found in range". I am at home and my home wifi it on and I know that my phone wifi is on. What could the issue be?

Welcome to Android Central! First, do you know if your home wi-fi network is set up to make the SSID (the name of the network) visible? It's possible to make the network hidden, but I'm guessing you haven't done that. The next thing to try is to reboot the router by unplugging its power for 10 seconds, then plugging it back again. Can you connect to public wi-fi networks, like at your local library or cafe?
