I was reading around about how good it is to do the cache partition wipe and it might even boost performance and help battery life what do you guys think? How many times do you guys recommend doing it?

Re: Need help with cache partition wipe

It'll stay in the Android guy for a few seconds then go to a menu.

Re: Need help with cache partition wipe! Downloading do not turn off target!

It's just a mode used to download things to the device - it wasn't downloading anything on its own.

I started doing it once a week with my Note 4. I've had the Note 5 2 weeks now and have done it once. Just out of habit though. I dont even think i needed too because its just so fast. Old habits die hard though. The Note 4 would get bogged down and doing this weekly would speed things up significantly. Haven't had that problem with the Note 5 at all but I've done it anyway. I may do it if I ever notice slowing. Or Maybe every 2 to 3 weeks now.

I'll wipe the cache partition after a lot of changes or removing several apps or about once a month, whichever comes first.

Haven't seen the need to do it quite yet. Maybe a couple months down the road.
