unidentified icon

there is an icon on top of my screen next to the wifi icon.. i can't figure out what it is for... please help. thanks!

ahh.. i found the download booster in the manual... when i turned it on it shows something else next to the 4G signal see attached...

From what I can find, it's an icon that represents voice over LTE (VoLTE) being enabled on some carriers.

i am keeping the "arrows" on cos i am mostly on wifi anyways.. just got the phone for a coupla days.. not impressed w battery life yet. will remove next week and see if it improves.
