Samsung's Music App

Hi all.

I drive a Chevy with some version of the MyLink system. When my car's bluetooth connects up with my Note 5, instead of Google Play Music starting up (as I'd expect), the Samsung Music app starts. I tried disabling the Music app in settings, but the disable button is greyed out.

Oh wait ... I just deleted the only track in the app (Samsung's song). Maybe that'll prevent the Music app from blocking out Google Play Music. (crossing fingers)

If that doesn't work you can download the package disabler app and disable Music that way. I had the same issue and doing that fixed it for me.

Wow, this sounds good. It lets you disable all the crapware?

This one, right?

Thanks for the tip!

Yep that's the one. I use it to disable a bunch of apps, but you can use it to just disable Music if that is all you care about. There are some threads on here that tell what is safe to disable if you want to use it to its full capability.
