Is it possible to sync a Note 5 with a macbook?

Hi, I've recently changed from an iphone 6 to a Note 5 and I'm loving everything so far except I have no idea how to sync music from my macbook to my phone and pictures from my phone to my macbook, i've tried downloading the android file transfer but it kept telling me to restart my device and that it couldnt connect. Also if anyone has any tips about changing from an iphone to a samsung please do share them with me.

Android file transfer can be a little temperamental at times. If your having connection issues, sometimes restarting your Mac while your phone is still connected to it via usb will correct the connection problem and AFT will then see the phone.

Oh and I almost forgot, Samsung Smart Switch app will also get you up and running too.

You can also download Sidesync and try that. I downloaded it for my Note 4, but haven't tried it yet for my 5. It is on my to do list. It let me copy things back and forth.

Make sure you uninstall Kies first if you ever had it on your mac. Android file transfer won't recognize the phone if Kies is present. At least that's what I ran into.
