Can I change my fingerprint? I used my thumb (like iPhone) & I should have used my index.

I have two phones....iPhone for business and Note 5 for personal. On the iPhone, I was told to set up using thumbprint, which is fine, but I used my thumb for Note 5 and now I wish I had used my index finger instead.

Can I change that? if so, how?

Settings>Lock screen and security>Fingerprints - just add another finger, I think you can have five stored

You can store 4 separate prints. Some people use the same finger for multiple slots as a way of increasing the number of stored variations and/or positions.

I have both thumbs and both index fingers... and I named them accordingly, so I know which one to redo if it stops working reliably. So far, I've not had to redo any... always unlocks when I need it to.
