Note 5- can I get some help changing the settings on the side volume buttons?

Note 5- help change the settings on the side volume buttons

For some reason when I press the side buttons it's adjusting the "call volume". How can I change them back to adjust the ring volume???

When you're on a call, they adjust the call volume. When you're playing media they're adjusting media volume. When the phone is idle they're adjusting ring volume.

You can adjust the all volume by tapping the gear button beside it
