Default Apps

What happened to when you opened something that you had multiple apps for it it gave you a choice if you wanted to always use it or just once? I do not get the option with this phone like I have others. Is there a way to enable this again or is it just the way Samsung decided to do it now?

I have noticed this as well. When you select one, it automatically makes it default you will have to go into your settings and clear the default app that it resorts to.

Too bad they did it that way. I liked having a choice each time I opened an app if I didnt feel like picking one.

You can install "better open with" from the play store, and select that as the default app. It would let you choose each time which app to use.

I may have to. Silly that I have to download an app to do something I could do on every phone Ive owned to include the S6 I just got rid of.

Iirc the s6 had the same problem.

The S6 on Verizon did not have that issue. That is the phone I traded in for the Note 5
