My Note 5 connects flawlessly via BT in my car. Audio works great. But, when I want to use Google voice commands, my Note 5 hears me say "OK Google" and responds just fine by going into "listening" mode, but as it listens for the actual command, the microphone seems to not be operational - no audio is passed back to Google, and the app times out.

Any idea why this is? A BT setting I've overlooked?

Re: Google Voice Commands via BT in Car...

Open Google Now, swipe in from the left, tap Settings>Voice, and make sure Bluetooth Headset is switched on. Also tap Hands-free in that menu and make sure For Bluetooth Devices is switched on. Does that help?

That's how I had it set.
No dice.

On a forum for my particular car, a fellow owner suggested turning off the Bluetooth Headset feature. I am trying that next.

Yup - damn!

Turning off the Bluetooth Headset feature under "Voice" in Google Now did the trick.

Do this if you are having issues with Google Now Commands via BT in your car!!

Excellent! I'll have to keep this in mind. That's a bit counterintuitive, since I would have thought the car's Bluetooth system was acting as a Bluetooth headset!
