Wireless charging with Otterbox Defender?

Hello all

Just got a Note 5 the other day and put it in a Otterbox Defender case as with the environments I work in I have to have something to this level.

Am still hoping I can use the wireless charging though and just wonder if anyone else has tried it with this kind of a setup.

I have the note 4 with an aftermarket wireless charging piece in it. I am able to charge through my multi-layer Amzer kickstand case. Amzer® Hybrid Kickstand Case - Black/ Black for Samsung GALAXY Note 4 SM-N910 and am able to wireless charge through that. Not sure how much thicker the Otterbox is from this one, or if there is much of a difference in the properties of the built in note 5 charger.

I have the Note 5 with the Otterbox Defender on it as well. I use the Samsung wireless charger with it with no issues. It is not the adaptive fast charger, just the regular charging "puck".

Seems the white regular puck does a better job than the black charging thru a case imo. I have the commuter series. Black ones couldn't keep charging but 3 white ones no problem.

I use the Defender with the Fast Wireless Charging puck from Samsung, no problems, but it sometimes takes a nudge or two to find the sweet spot. Have never failed to find a sweet spot.

I agree with grid7,it works with a little effort to get the sweet spot
