Suddenly pc not detecting my note 5

Even last week, I copied some photos from my phone to my laptop but suddenly today, it is not getting detected in my laptop(windows 10). It still charges my phone.Reinstalled drivers, restarted phone and pc, tried different cable and pc too. I checked my note 3 in the same laptop with the same cable and it is getting detected. I have been trying since this afternoon and suddenly now i got a pop up like this. Has anyone faced similar issues or know any solution?

You've likely already tried the following, and have done things I'd try. Sharing in the event it will help.

Toggling between MTP mode and Charging mode on the phone when connected to the laptop via USB, may help "awaken" MTP again.
Powering down phone when disconnected from laptop, powering up, and then connecting again via USB with MTP mode selected is something else to try.

You could try clearing the device cache but it sounds more like the connector is failing.
