Only recognise one dictionary at a time

[AC Question]

Installed nougat on my note 5. On my previous version it recognised both my afrikaans and english dictionary simultaneously. So if i were typing in Afrikaans or English it would pick it up automatically and give me both word suggestions without me physically setting the language option to English or Afrikaans.
I've tried everything but it doesn't seem to work like that anymore. This is very annoying.
