Note 8 S-Pen to have a speaker?

CNET says there might be a speaker on top of the Note 8 S-Pen?

I also expect this next Note to give its digital stylus, which Samsung calls the S Pen, more tricks than last year's short-lived Note 7 (like a speaker in the pen top -- more below!).

I'm not sure I'm a fan of that. Focus groups really said they wanted a speaker in the S-pen? If Samsung uses focus groups.

A speaker in the S-Pen? That sounds so useless lol :-x -- I mean honestly people complain about quality of speakers on phones so I could only imagine a small sized one for a S-Pen.

It's very unlikely.

The S Pen itself doesn't have a lot of space for a speaker, and even if they managed to shoehorn one in, the tiny drivers would probably lead to very poor sound.

Where that rumor comes from or is it someone high on drugs? lolzz - There is no chance a S-pen come with a speaker hardly there is a space left in it for the speaker, we all want a plane s-pen with the magical pin at the bottom of it

It sounds strange but I read it way back when they first pulled the Note 7s off the market and had a good laugh about it. It was based on something from Samsung at that time too, so who knows!!!

Why stop at a speaker? Add a microphone and you don't have to hold a huge phone against your face to make a call. Make it wired to save battery, and... ladies and gentlemen, the new S-Pen!
