I'm new to this side of the forums but I've been posting on the HTC DNA forums for a while. I picked up the Edge about a month ago and I have to say, I love this phone more than I thought I would. That being said, like many of you guys I'm waiting for more panels, apps, support, etc... for the Edge.
I noticed when I saw someone with Samsung's flip case that the Edge animates and has some custom displays that we don't get without the flip case. They look pretty cool but I'm not sold on having a flip case especially at a $50 price tag.
Anyways, seeing those animations inspired me to make my own. I noticed someone in another thread mentioned that if you use your own image in the Express Me panel that it would kind of scroll back and forth when tilted on the lock screen. I Photoshopped up a panel and really like the way it brings the lock screen to life. Thought I'd share it with the community. Here are a couple of screen grabs but they are still images and don't really show off the animation/scrolling effect:
Attached is the panel image. When lining it up in the editing window I ended up sliding it to the side just a little to get the scrolling effect I wanted. Also, I added the "glass" option in the effects. I felt it animated better that way.
