    Unless you have the ability in application manager to disable it then probably not.

    BTW flipboard powers magazine UX's widgets so I doubt the option to disable flipboard is available. I wouldn't know, I'm rooted and have both magazine UX and flipboard frozen.

    Unless you jailbreak it, it's not gonna happen. I have the Verizon Wireless LTE version of the GNP. It's even worse.
