Really, sorry for my ignorance, wiki says 1440p is 2560 x 1440 in resolution. GNP is 2600 x 1600, so does that mean it's a 1440p device? Or a device needs to have some sort of screen technology to be called as such? 1440p is known as QHD as well I think.

Not quite, but I guess you could call it 1440p if you really want to. The correct name for the 2560x1600 screen would be WQXGA.

I am not an expert in this area, but to the best of my knowledge, you can say 1920x1200 can display 1080p contents, but it is not 1080p. The 1920x1080 display is 1080p and thus can also display 1080p contents. But regardless, people often just refer to an 1920x1200 screen as Full HD or 1080p. This would be technically wrong, but most people seem to be okay with this as the ~p or ~HD notations are familiar to the general public.
