Kitkat support 4k 64gb transfer speeds?

Anyone know if there is any point in getting the faster speeds of the samsung extreme? Will kitkat allow me to take advantage of the transfer rates the card can support?

As far as 4k video playback goes there's no direct answer since depending on compression and encoding settings I'm sure current speeds can support playback.

From a pure raw speed perspective though my gutt says if you're looking for external microSD memory speed to trump internal then you're out of luck. According to A1 SD benchmark utility the internal storage clocks in at around 120MB/s read and 50MB/s write. That's essentially faster than the specs of the current fastest cards on the market although some of the newer ones are starting to have faster write speeds so who knows.
