My tablet is a WiFi only tablet. However I have the Verizon Message+ app installed. The app syncs with my phone (Note4) which I also use Message+ on, so I have texts on both devices. I can create, send, receive text on both devices using the same app. This is nice as my aging eyes like the larger tablet screen for reading.
The update I received yesterday for my tablet added an interesting option. I can now make and receive phone calls through the Message+ app on my tablet. I've called out and received calls already and it works fine. Not sure how it works because I don't have phone hardware in my tablet that I know of.
I don't know how often I will use this but I have the option in settings to turn it off. You can also connect bluetooth headsets to it.
Has anyone else on Verizon received this update?
