Any US users?
So how many US users have bought this phone?
Where from, final price, days to receive and most importantly, any issues from your carrier (AT&T) about using a "unbranded" tablet/phone on their network?
Also interested in actual network speeds in 3G, HSPA and WiFi bands.
Sick of waiting on an "official" announcement, but also don't want to spend $700+ and have issues using the device.
Any input would be helpful. - 11-14-2011, 02:09 PM #2

I'm waiting for news from our lucky first adopters too.

Re: Any US users?
I ordered from Handtec and 50 hours later it was delivered. Fast and best price at the time, might still be. I used paypal because the exchange rate is shown when you pay and includes the fee which is a little less than most credit cards, though credit card rewards could easily make up for that.
Works great on my unlimited ATT plan, just put the SIM in. I just had to look up the APN settings for data access. See post here http://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-note/131663-where-buy-galaxy-note-us-2.htmlLast edited by scaots; 11-15-2011 at 08:07 PM.

Re: Any US users?
I've got one on AT&T too. It's incredible. Totally freaking huge, but such an awesome device.

Re: Any US users?
Just picked one up with the AT&T $50 unlimited gophone.
Working great so far. I will post some speed tests soon. - 11-20-2011, 03:42 AM #6
Re: Any US users?
how practical is it for everyday use? Is it weird to hold it to your face for talking? Texting?

Re: Any US users?
How is it with bluetooth devices like Jawbone or car BT? I imagine you need to use BT or plug in earpiece or speaker. Cannot imagine holding this to you ear? Having some issue with my Skyrocket BT.

Re: Any US users?
It's kinda big to hold to your face. For extended conversation I would recommend BT. I think the mic doesn't even pick up well because the end of the phone is past your mouth. Occasionally doesn't connect to my car, but toggling BT gets it to work.
Typing with two thumbs is great in portrait. But it's too much of a stretch one handed unless you have big hands. It's a two hand device. I like thumb keyboard on it. I used to use swype but that loses the appeal when you have to use the other hand to hold it. - 11-22-2011, 11:55 PM #9
Re: Any US users?
I got mine yesterday from techno.trading.house off of eBay for &759 (free shipping). It took about a week to get delivery (problems with customs they said ;-)). Brand new, perfect phone.
Early review is that it is awesome - looking for that middle ground between an iPad and a smartphone - this could be it. Great web browsing experience, lots of screen. Used it with my Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800 stereo BT headphones - worked perfectly listening to music, giving voice commands while driving, and for phone calls. Also paired with my car BT (Handsfree link on my Acura). Worked great!
More review to come soon - will get plenty of time to play with it over Thanksgiving

Re: Any US users?
does it sync with your car okay? On my old droid 2 global, it would create dupe entries in my infiniti (i tried it and had the same thing happen on my buddy's lexus), but now with the motorola photon, the sync is perfect, except i have to speak last name first and then first name to get the voice recognition right..
wondering about the details of your car BT experience. - 11-23-2011, 01:40 AM #11

Re: Any US users?
Ok, well I'm on a contract so I should get normal speeds like I do now. Does the Note do 4G (not LTE)

Re: Any US users?
Works great - the Samsung BT radio is superior to HTC, I had all kinds of issues in my Acura with the HTC phone staying connected, including dropping sync during calls. The Samsung is awesome and when "in a Call" mode there is a button to press if I want to engage or disengage the BT during a call! works well. I give it 2 thumbs up :-)
