Is the Galaxy Nexus? 4.65-inch screen not big enough for you? Samsung?s Galaxy Note, which boasts a massive 5.3-inch display, won FCC approval today for GSM 850/1900 bands and WCDMA bands II and IV ? the same bands used by AT&T?s 2G and 3G service in the US.
The Galaxy Note runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and features a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The device includes a stylus and a memo app for taking handwritten notes ideal for the Note?s 1280?800 screen.
AT&T hasn?t announced any plans to launch the Galaxy Note yet, nor is FCC approval for AT&T?s bands a guarantee that the carrier will do so in the future. But, today?s FCC approval does mean that carriers have the Government?s blessing to launch the Galaxy Note in the States.
