I'm thinking about picking up the Note off of Amazon, but was curious as to what I need to do once I get it. I dont have an ATT account yet, so once I get the note do I go down to ATT with the phone and have them set me up or how do I go about setting this up? Thanks

Not sure since I was already on ATT and my SIM was already associated with a phone on their system (Skyrocket). You might want to consider getting the account and a phone associated with it BEFORE getting your Note, then just pop SIM into it set your APN and off you go.

I have heard some issue if you try to get then SIM after because ATT system might not recognize your IMEI number since they do not sell the Note.

I am not an expert on this, but am sure you have seen the threads on xda where they discuss this.

Best thing to do is: buy a subsidized AT&T 4G phone (Samsung GSII, Infuse 4G, Atrix 2, etc.), activate the SIM that comes with it (make a note of the APN settings used in that phone), then put the SIM in the Note (using the same APN settings in the Note), then sell the phone you got from AT&T to defray the cost of the Note.

That's exactly what I did lol it's better to start an account get cheap phone that has hspa+. This way your account is already provisioned for it. Worked like a charm for me and now I have my Note working perfect on ATT.
