Yet another Galaxy Note JB issue thread

My wife has a UK unlocked Galaxy Note that upgraded itself from ICS to JB (4.0.4 to 4.1.2) yesterday. This thing is now a shambles. The most important issues:

• Battery drains in no time at all
• It's laggy
• The font size in S Planner is now enormous

From reading around I can see these are very common problems (well, the battery and speed issues anyway - not seen any other comments about S Planner font size) that won't be fixed. Am I right? Is this now doomed to be hated, when before yesterday it was loved. Is there a way to undo the "upgrade" and go back to ICS?

Did you do a factory reset after upgrading to JB?

Do you need to do a factory reset after the update? I just updated and everything seems to be working well.

If it's working fine, then no, you don't.
