Hi all, I'm brand new to this forum..Been lurking around a while but only just registered. I'm on a mission to get my galaxy note n7000 working again and so far I've had no luck regardless of how much googling I do.

A few months ago my phone froze for a few minutes then reset and ever since then it has been stuck in a boot loop, showing just the n7000 splash screen. At the time it could get into download mode and recovery mode.. I did a factory reset and now it still doesn't work and can't get into recovery mode but download mode still works.

After doing some googling I tried to reflash it but odin kept getting stuck at NAND write start. I tried a few versions of Odin, a few different roms and also different USB cables. I then tried to flash a pit file which failed.

So the situation is now as follows.. Kies does not connect to the phone.. it tries but fails. Windows device manager sees the phone as a Samsung CDC Composite Device. When in download mode, my phone says:

Product name: GT-N7000
Custom Binary Download: NO
Current Binary: Samsung Official

It's been a few months since I tried to fix it, been using an old nokia but life without android is killing me. Is there someone here who can walk me through some steps to make sure there is nothing else I can try before giving up? I feel like as long as download mode works, the phone knows it's an N7000, and windows an detect it, there must be something I can try right?!

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
