battery not charging

My samsung galaxy note 10. 1 is just a month old, I updated via the recommend link from samsung, only 3 days ago, now my battery is taking hours to charge, its now been on the charge for 4hrs and has only reached 1/4. Ive read up on this issuse and it seems if you run the battery out completely and recharge to full, repeat a few times it corrects itself? Is this going to work? Or do I remove the latest update? If so how?

Welcome to the forums. Was the update a major one, as in 4.3 to 4.4? If so, I would consider doing a factory reset, so the OS framework can rebuild itself.
