I have a samsung galaxy ii s skyrocket. I purchased a USB/wall charger but it doesn't seem to charge my phone as I thought it would (4+ hours to charge from 10% to fully charged). I am not sure whether it is similar to the ones that were sold with the original skyrocket. What are the optimal specs that came with the skyrocket packaging?

The numbers on my wall chargers are as follows:

input: AC 100V-240V 200mA
output: AC 4.5-9.5V Max 800mA

I've looked on other forums and it seems that there is some confusion regarding 0.7A and 1.A and that bigger isn't always better. Does anyone have any prior knowledge about this?

If you don't I would recommend using the Samsung wall charger that came with you're phone. You can't go wrong with that one. I've had my Skyrocket just over 2 weeks now and every charge has taken exactly 2 hours when discharged down to around 10-25%. Any other AT&T car or wall charger should work well too.

My Samsung charger that came in the box says the following:
Input: 100-240V ~ 50-60Hz (.15A)
Output: 5.0V = 1.0A

The numbers are the same on you're input as mine, but the output looks different which might explain long charge time. I don't know for sure. Are you using an off brand or generic charger? I would stick with the Samsung that came with it and buy an extra Samsung if needed.

Thanks for your detailed response.

Can anyone confirm that these different outputs will create this level of disparity between charging times? It takes my phone about 4 hours to charge.

Use 1amp minimum chargers and don't use anything made by Belkin. I have 2 seperate high output Belkin car chargers and both don't handle the load while a small Samsung one easily keeps the phone charged during GPS navigation.

I have 3 genuine chargers and genuine batteries and all of them take about 3 in a half or 4 hours to charge

Wow! Genuine Samsung wall chargers and 3-4 hours? That doesn't seem right. I've only used the samsung wall charger that came with the phone and mine is 2 hours max if I run it down to 10%.
