Ok, I went ahead and took the plunge and ordered this:

Amazon.com: RND Power Solutions Deluxe 2nd Battery Charger and Data Sync Cradle / Desktop Dock Station for Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch & Skyrocket (Sprint & AT&T Versions): Electronics

I'm hoping it works nice with the skyrocket. Gonna order a second battery later, but this will keep my phone charged while at work

I'll post more info (in case no one has) once I receive it.

UPDATE

I'd love to have landscape capability, but I can't get too fussy here - this looks like the best option I've yet seen. I'm using the Casemate Pop, which looks similar in size to the Acvtive. Thanks mrro82!

That's pretty incredible. On the back next to the USB port, is that a plug cover using a standard AC power cord? Just curious.

This will answer your questions, it does connect to an AC Adapter(has two cords, 1 for AC and 1 for Data - not sure the differnece between the two) but both are micro-USB cords. Now it says in the little manual to not use the AC cord for data when connecting to PC(not sure why) but it is a much longer cord and it is shaped like a regular AC cord with +/- polarity

Ok, testing the dock out against LTE -

I am streaming via LTE and have the phone docked. With just a PC, it would maintain my battery level, but would not charge. With the dock, it is actually charging the phone(battery level going up).

And best of all it is not overheating like it did yesterday.

Only showing 99.1 degrees

Compare to when I wasn't streaming

I have this charger as well; got it a couple of weeks ago. I actually bought two - one for work and one for home. It works very well. I also love the fact that a spare battery can be charged as well as the phone. It's a nice addition, and at approximately $22, it's well worth it.
