I dropped my phone onto the pavement from about a foot. The camera and everything works fine (I'm running Gingerbread) for a week after that incident, but then whenever I open the camera app, I get the "camera failed" message and the app freezes.
A factory reset didn't do anything, and they won't replace it under warranty because the drop made some gauges on the body.
I just now updated it to the leaked IceCreamSandwich and while the front camera works and the app doesn't freeze, the main camera still doesn't work. However, I don't get the "camera failed" message anymore.
Opening "megacam" on the *#0*# LCDtest shows nothing.
Is my camera hardware broken?
