    Default benefits of rooting

    I have a stock ics galaxy s 2 skyrocket and have been thinking of rooting it. I just wanted to know what were the benefits of rooting and also if anyone had any recommendations on rooms to use. I am a first time android user and have never rooted a phone.

    By rooting the s2 you can have advantages of

    -> You can alter system files
    -> Delete unwanted default apps
    -> Change boot images

    You can have full control on your device.

    You can run titanium backup and it will backup apps and data. should you need to wipe your phone, you can get the apps with data back.

    There are also other programs you can run that require root access.

    can you guys elaborate more on what apps?
    I finally rooted my phone this weekend due to losing everything after updating to ICS 4.0.4 and wanted to be able to use titanium backup and wanted to be able to get a full root backup.
    but with the newest 4.0.4 i can turn off all of the bloat ware so i don't need to turn off or delete apps like we would as we would at one time.
