So I just got this phone - previously had a Blackberry - how do I get the led to flash when I get text messages? I did the whole sms settings - enabled led and still nothing - I get absolutely no blinking or anything, it says blink is on but in order for me to tell if I have messages I have to unlock the screen and look

This phone has no LED for notifications.

Cmon really? Glad I found that out now, I'm taking it back - thank you

Try using noled. It's free in the market and works really good. When you get a new notification, it displays an led symbol on the screen. Works just like any other led light.
