When I bought in EU a year ago Samsung Galaxy S II (GT-I9000) I was told that it is NFC enabled. During this time I have never stumbled upon any icon or setting about NFC. Recently I have updated it to ICS. I still haven?t found any icon or setting about NFC. Nor I haven?t found any sing anything written on (or inside) the phone or battery.

Do you know if Samsung Galaxy S II (GT-I9000) is NFC enabled? How can I test if it has a NFC chip? How can I enable it?
I heard that Samsung Galaxy S II (GT-I9000P) is NFC enabled. How come?

Thank you for your help.

Am i missing something? My SGS 1(Bell mobility Vibrant) was model number GT-i9000m, and the non international versions were i9000. Are you sure you have a SGS2? I thought the sgs2 was GT-i777.
