Root for G959G (Straight Talk)

My friend wants to root his SG2 that he got from straight Talk. I tried to separate methods to try and root it, one from XDA using ODIN and SuperOneClick and the other from a site dedicated to SG2s

I haven't found anything for the specific variant, and neither method worked.

If you're looking to just root the phone, try out Framaroot. Just install the app and run. It should be compatible due to the Exynos processor and its nearly identical to the i777 and i9100 variants. You could also try ExynosAbuse which uses the same exploit.

it works great with my phone, i'd been trying this for so long, finally got it and it was painless compared to other posts and threads. just use framaroot as mentioned above by Lawrence of a Labia. my phone is galaxy s2 SGH S959G

Just an FYI. I tried the Famaroot on my Net10 (Straight Talk) Samsung Galaxy S2 and it worked just fine, I now have a rooted phone. The only thing I am not sure of is why it needed permission to access my videos and pictures on my phone as well as record them.

Use framaroot apk I've done 5 of them now works every time no problems at all use newest one for straight talk sgh 959 galaxy s2
