downloading photos from samsung g2 to iphoto/imac

Hi there
I've checked a number of ways and have done it once before some time ago but can't remember how it worked....
Can someone please share the best way to take your photos from your phone to your imac iphoto library?

Suggestions tried
Kies....i'd really like them to go straight to my iphoto and not lose their dates...don't think this will happen
Sweet home app....didn't seem to exist..
Dropbox....i would prefer a way that saves the pics initial creation date....

please help ...I'm sure it would help many too.
