I tried to manually update my samsung galaxy s2 GT- i1900 with odin and was stuck at the hidden files section. It now says, "firmware upgraded encountered issue. Please select recovery mode in kies and try again." However my kies won't recognized it. Anyone know how I can reset it?

Thank you,

I haven't run into this per say, but I have heard about it (or something similar).

My suggestion is to delete and reinstall (maybe don't have to delete, just try installing over) the driver for the phone, and reinstall Kies.

In the end Kies should always see the device, even if there is no firmware.

Try starting over with a previous version of your stock ROM for your device. Try going to Samsung updates .com for files. They take a while to download, and once you get them, take the md5 file and put it in the PDA box in Odin and reflash.
