My S2 was working fine.... I have 2 batteries for it so I can just charge one while using the other. My battery ran out so I tried putting the other battery in and when I turned on the phone, It wouldn't get past the Samsung Logo. I tried getting into the download mode but the problem is my volume up button is broken so I don't know what to do. My phone was never rooted before. Please Help!

You could try booting up in Safe Mode. Remove Battery, place it back, press and hold power, and at the logo, release power and immediately press and hold Volume Down until it boots.

I'd try two things then:

1) Hold power and Home button until it boots (if it doesn't boot after 15 or 20 seconds, it won't work).

2) Connect the phone to Kies via USB and try to restore from there.

The First Solution didn't work and when I connect the phone to my laptop, Kies says connecting for a few seconds then goes back to please connect a device. :/

I'm afraid there's not much left to do then... Other than taking out the battery for a few hours and hoping that clears any residual cache files, the only way to 'bring it back' is by connecting it to a service station.
