Anyone else surprised to see no Contour Display?

I thought that their next Galaxy S would have this because of the Nexus S, but it seems that they didn't even mention it... anyone else as surprised as me?

I noticed that it was missing but it was no surprise to me. I think that most people would prefer Groilla glass over the contour design, and right now you cant have both. Then again theres no evidence that they will use gorilla glass in this model either, but I would assume so since they did in the previous GS line, now if there were no gorilla glass then i'd truly be surprised.

I think the contour display was Google's idea for the Nexus S and wanted to keep it that way.

I have a Nexus S, and it doesn't change a thing... I thought it was a little gimmick sorta like the G2's hinge.

I think there's no contour display because that would make the phone just a bit thicker and it seems as though Samsung striving for Steve Jobs levels of thinness here.
