S3 build quality is stellar, if you are just looking for a metal case, there are a ton of options. Search here and on xda for recommendations and reviews.

plasticky...I'm sure by plasticky you mean a piece of glossy plastic that gets sticky after holding onto it for a long time.

Just because a phone is made of plastic does not mean it has bad build quality.

Everyone has a different definition of good build/quality so the best you can do is watch videos/pictures and feel them at retail stores.
