Scratch Test

Good to know my phone will be safe for those times when I need to take a Rambo knife to it...

Seriously, though. What compels a man to do this? I almost cried at 6:00

I will make sure not to suite my phone in the knife drawer.

I almost thought for a second that guy was gonna cut a finger off playing with those knives. The glass screens on those phones are designed to be scratch resistant so it can take that kind of abuse. Droping the phones however.... Thats a different story....

These tests will only be relevant when they test sand or a material that is actually harder than the glass itself. Right now they just give people a false sense of security.

That's exactly what I was going to say.

Am I just being a fanboy, or was he much more hostile towards the S3?

lol, look at the itty bitty iphone. My wife is going to crapola when she sees my SGIII. I'm already selling her on the white one. Must get her off itunes because I always have to help her and I hate it something fierce.

I seriously almost cried trying to watch that video. I was cringing the whole time. It was maddening!!!

now that's one crazy sob.

what i don't get however, is how my keys can do more than damage than those 2 knives combined...

Who the heck was the genius that did the vid? I think he's one sandwich short of a banquet don't you? What a stupid test and a waste of time. Yikes!

exactly! ive never accidentally tryed to chop my phone in half with a kitchen knife. i have however scratched every phone ive ever had naked (yes, even gorilla glass) from sand and concrete on the construction site. if all your worried about is keys and coins thats one thing but in the real world are many more elements to deal with that are way more harsh.

All these videos are from the same guy as in the first post.

I think the point of the test is to show you that your phone being in your pocket with your keys wont damage it to all of you who seem to not get the point of a test like this.

Most people don't get the point that keys aren't what scratches the phones. These tests just make people put phones in their pocket with keys and then wonder how their phone got scratched.

Wow, I wouldn't waste eggs like that on a Iphone...the phones not worth it. That's breakfast for a month or two.

When saw the first video, i thought "Wow this guy is crazy. At least sell the iphone to make enough money to buy another android" But by the time i saw the last video, i just thought "Worth it" You have made me the most happiest iOS hater in the world! :)
