What is the best way to view all my old apps? (to help install)

I tried searching, but I had no luck (bad keywords maybe?).

Is there an easy way (maybe on the internet?) to see all the apps I've downloaded in the past so I can quickly scan them and see what I want to install on my new GS3? I had to wipe my EVO 4G about 6 weeks ago, and I never reinstalled all my apps since I knew the new phone was coming soon.

I can go to the market on the phone, but scrolling through hundreds of apps on that tiny screen is a pain. And many of the apps are ones I only wanted to "try" and no longer care about so they are just crowding the list.

I am trying AppBrain, but it doesn't seem to have all my apps listed (haven't played with it in a loooonnggg time). It has some new ones, but I know it is missing others I had downloaded. It doesn't appear to be complete. Am I wrong?

And the same thing for the Amazon app store. I have looked online at my account, but the listed of "purchased things" also includes products bought from the site and it only lists like 15 a page. Kinda annoying.

Thanks for any help on assisting me as I set up the rockin' new phone.

The Google Play Store has a section called My Apps (far right hand top corner) which will have each of your android devices listed and a list of all your apps.

I just checked and the Play Store has most, but NOT all, of the apps I currently have on my Fascinate. Is this normal?

I may or may not want all of the apps on my new SG3 though. Will I have to download all of them again?

If you downloaded some from the Amazon store, you might want to check there as well.

It's kinda strange. Mine has all of the apps that I have loaded at the moment. If you flash custom ROM's you will have multiple instances of the same phone listed so you might want to be aware of that.

Did you download ALL your apps only from Google Play? Cause if you used Amazon or something else then those apps won't show up.

Best thing to do is use AppBrain and make sure to have an account and SYNC. Either manually sync or you can set it up to automatically sync once a day.

Then you'll have a list of all your apps, no matter where you downloaded them from.

And yes, you will have to download all the apps you want on your phone again.

If you didn't have AppBrain set up to sync automatically or if you didn't manually sync it recently then it won't have an updated app list. It will only have the apps listed the last time it was synced.

The problem I've found with AppBrain is it doesn't seem to know where you downloaded the app from. So it tells me there are updates in the Play store but thee aren't any in the Amazon store.

I have only downloaded Apps from the Play Store (and whatever it was called prior to that). The couple of apps that aren't showing up in the play list are no big deal if I can't get them again.

This is my first time transferring from Android to Android, so will the apps automatically download when I first log in on when I get my new SG3?

As soon as I added my gmail account all of my previously installed apps on my Droid 2 instantly starting installing, pretty friggin kickass if I may say! Only thing is it would've been smarter for me to first jump on a wifi network to keep it off my data usage, but I didn't think of it and it's really not that big a deal.

I believe the Play Store won't show incompatible apps on the all apps history. You'd have to log into the web site through the browser to see them all.

Yes, on your desktop log into "Google Play" >My Apps. There you can easily view all your installed apps and delete any you no longer want or use (Much easier to scroll/view, and faster than on your phone).

You can do the same for Amazon:
Amazon.com>Digital Content>Your Apps and Devices.

Re: What is the best way to view all my old apps? (to help instal

If you have a lot of apps, though, the list will stop in the middle. For instance, I just installed a new rom, and the "MyApps" list stops at letter "s". So, if I want to install Titainium Backup, XDA Premium, etc, I have to search for them and install them. It's a hassle.

Re: What is the best way to view all my old apps? (to help instal

On my all apps list, I can only get to about g (alphabetically) and it goes back to the beginning. Seems like if you've tried a lot of applications, you may not have access to them all.

This won't help you now, but there's a little app called App List Backup that's saved me whenever I've had to reset my device. Just download it from the Play Store, open it, and restore. Future reference anyway.

Re: What is the best way to view all my old apps? (to help instal

I know in the Play Store it list most of the apps that I've downloaded, but I usually just use Easy App Lock-Manager (by 2Easy Team in the Play Store) to backup my apks to my sd card, then I upload them to Box. Reason being is that I have a few apps that were deleted from the Play Store and want to prevent not being able to download them again if I switch devices.

Re: What is the best way to view all my old apps? (to help instal

I have the same issue with the app store - my apps stop at the letter "M". It must be a bug with the app count value not being set high enough as I can not imagine Google deliberately wanting to limit the number of apps you can see.

I think i see the problem, if you go to google play in your browser ( https://play.google.com/store ), then hit the widget icon "my orders and settings" it will take you to ALL the apps you downloaded from google store in order of download date ( im currently on 6+ pages!) just click on the app it will take you to the page and hit install (again if it says installed) and it will ask you what device to install it to.

sounds much harder than it is!!

hope this helps!!

Ok, so you can save app lists, and the app file itself . What about the app info, like your save data and such. I really don't want to start any games over again.
