This is driving me crazy. I'll get calls from people in my contacts but it'll only have the number. Not until I answer does their name and picture show up. I'm using go launcher but just the stock contacts.

its nothing to do with the launcher but as a GO fanboy i recomend using Go Contacts as default and disabling stock contacts ;)

They show in your contacts with names?

Are you syncing your contacts with Google or your carrier?

I would suggest syncing your contacts to your Google account (open Contacts app, press Menu, Merge With Google), after that go into your Application Manager > All than wiping the data from both Contacts & Contacts Storage, reboot, now go into Settings > Accounts and sync > *your Google account* and make sure Sync Contacts is checked. Hit Sync Now at the bottom, reboot once more, and give it a go.

Okay just kidding, this morning my dad called and the caller ID just had his number. When I answered it then it said who it was. Yesterday I had my friend call and she showed up so I'm at a loss.

I have the same problem on my Nexus S with Jelly Bean. It only happened after updating from ICS.

Try the Contacts+ app. It's the only thing that worked for me after spending long hours trying to fix it through forums, labs and friends.
