Jelly Bean improved LTE and WiFi. It's this just me?

I installed the leak version of the Bell Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean OTA and I notice some improvement but to my surprise it wasn't so much project butter or Google Now, yes my phone is smoother and Google Now is awesome but other great enhancement.

I have 2 scenario why I believe Jelly Bean improved my connection.

1) I have never received LTE from my desk at work and thought Bell installed new LTE tower close by but I tried it with a co-worker's S3 on the same network and it wasn't the case, so I assume it was Jelly Bean.

2) From my basement yesterday I was receiving 1 maybe 2 bars of WiFi connection and today from the same location I get full bars. This save me from buying a new range extender.

Is it just me who are experiencing these changes?

BTW I love the suggestion Google now made for me after work. (See Picture)

lmao google has been watching your searches and knows you too well ;)

global s3, UK. Ask me anything and ill reply even if its just an intelligent (or stupid) guess ;)

You may not remember all the fuss about the antenna on the iPhone 4, but one thing that stood out is that "how many bars" you get is really just a representation of the raw data that comes in. The raw information for how good the signal is between two different devices COULD be identical, and could work equally well, yet one will show 2 bars, and the other 4. This is because the bars have an arbitrary value associated with them. So, it MAY say full bars without the signal being picked up any better or worse. This is the problem with using unofficial OS images, you COULD end up with all sorts of bogus information when it comes to things like this, or they could be the real signal strength and the official just "reads" low.

Here is my LTE speeds.

Could it be Bell govern the speed?

There may very well be some general WIFI improvements in Jelly Bean. Naturally there are device specific WIFI firmware to overall fine tune things per device make/model but I wouldn't put it past Jelly Bean's source code having some general WIFI performance improvements in place.

Updated modems tend to do that ;)
