Hi,

I installed a Font App to my S2, was then in the process of applying 1 of the fonts when the screen went black and the phone turned off then. When I switch it back on the screen is just stuck on the Samsung Logo and won't go any further. Battery, SD Card and SIM have all been removed but to no avail.

Has anyone had this problem before and knows of a solution? Will it require a factory reset? :'(

Many thanks :)

Start in safe mode:

  1. Remove the battery from the phone.
  2. Re-insert the battery.
  3. Press and hold the Power key.
  4. When you see the T989 screen, release the Power key. Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key.
  5. Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.
  6. 'Safe mode' displays in the lower-left corner. Release the Volume down key when you see 'Safe Mode.'

Now uninstall the font app. Restart the phone normally and you should be good. If not, you may have to flash the stock ROM. (Make sure to back up everything - assuming you don't keep everything backed up at all times, which you should with any computer, including a smartphone.)
