Why won't my Galaxy S2 turn on?

Galaxy s2 won't turn on

I bought a galaxy phone from a woman and have had problems with it keeping a charge. I got a new battery today and for a few hours it was fine until it hit 15% and I connected the charger. The screen went black and a battery icon appears with a circle in the middle. I haven't been able to get passed that and I've tried multiple chargers. Nothing seems to work.

Welcome to AC.

If the battery will not charge, make sure that the connector inside the phone's USB port is clean and undamaged, so far as you are able to judge.
