How do I wipe my S3 completely clean??

Currently my S3 is unlocked and rooted***

I'm wondering how to wipe my S3 completely clean? And if I do that will my S3 still be unlocked and rooted?

I think if you go into your custom recovery and format data that should wipe everything. I would check to confirm. I do not know if root access will stick though.
