My friend has an S3 Mini that reboots after approx 20 to 30 seconds.

She has been infomred that phone will be replaced under warranty with a refurbished one but she has 500 odd photos on the phone (not SD card) that she would like off as she has never backed them up

She has tried a number of things she says before handing phone to me as a last ditch resort.

I have taken SIm card and SD card out. Disabled Wifi, disabled bluetooth, disabled "Sync" and the phone keeps rebooting

It will boot into recovery mode "using Home, power on and volume up" buttons and will stay at menu screen. I was hoping that then plugging phone into PC via USB would allow me to see internal phone memory from PC.

But device dopes not appear under "portable devices". Using Kies just says its trying to connect

Anyone any advice of where i may be able to go from here to transfer these photos!!

The PC isn't seeing the device because it isn't in Android, but in recovery. You might be able to use ADB (Android Debug Bridge) to pull the files from the device.
