I still didn't get mine today so I called their CS line. The first guy, who spoke broken English and sounded like he was in a hallway in his hut in India, put me on hold while he called UPS after i had to explain everything three times. Then he ended up hanging up on me after me being on hold for 10 minutes.

So I called back and got someone who obviously resides in the US. She did soem digging around and then went to her manager. They wanted me to call my post office but I told them that was pointless because if they had it they would deliver it. The postal service where I live is actually pretty good 90% of the time. She then told me to give it two more days, even though today was the date they said it would be delivered by. She said the manager approved them to ship out another one if I don't get the first one by Saturday so we'll see what happens.

Finally got my card today. Figures it would be a lcass 6 as well. However, i did notice something interesting. The model number of what I purchased and what they sent me are different. I am not sure if this is worth pursuing or if it would result in a Class 10 card but maybe I'll go into my local BB and see what's what.

I would look into that for sure. I thought that people getting the class 10 were the ones getting the wrong one but if you got a class 6 and it isnt the correct model number then go for it.

She said she was sure it wouldn't take sdxc but wasn't sure about anything up to that point. I'll wait for real world confirmation from some with the phone and card.

A few days ago Samsung said that Verizon was releasing the s3 on the 21st.

I certainly hope she's wrong, but I just read the manual someone posted in another thread of the european model and it indicated in the manual that the device supports SD and SDHC cards up to 32 GB. Yikes.....

I currently have a 64GB SanDisk microSDXC card loaded in my new Sprint S III and it worked like a champ out of the box - no reformatting. I have music, photos, and videos loaded on it and have no issues.

A followup --- per the post on another thread by Ricky Babalu, I read the thread on issues with exFAT-formatted cards over at xada-developers:

[Q] exFAT file system on microSD cards - xda-developers

It made me go back and look more closely at the files on my card and I found that I ran into the same issues as noted on that thread (corrupted and/or missing files). As a result, I reformatted my card to FAT32 and reloaded it. All is well now. It appears that the S III does not play well with the exFAT format.

64gb micro sdxc mobile ultra Class 10

From My SGS2ET4G Using Tapatalk

Its funny that, to my knowledge, there is not a single Android device on the market that truely stated that it will specifically support a 64gb sd-XC class 10 card, yet this card is marketed directly to be optimized for Android Devices. Obviously SanDisk has tried it in Android devices with success.

I think if you looked up every single Android device you will find that a 32gb sd-HC Class 6 being the highest card supported and stated even though the above works perfectly.

Just be sure to format it as FAT32 before using it, so you wont have issues. exFAT format is having issues but that will be with any size card.
