Let me know how it is when you get one. I was looking at them, but they all look pretty generic/cheap.

Yeah that was my main issue too. But i figured, as long as it stays on my arm/leg and doesnt let the phone drop out, it should be fine. especially since its going to get sweaty/dirty, i prefer not to spend too much $

Are ya looking for armbands that will let you operate the phone while running, or just something to hold it against your arm? Because I've seen CVS sell some generic armbands I've used with my Zune HD, HTC Arrive, and HTC EVO and it's worked wonders with all of them. Only catch is you cant see the screen while its in the armband. Can't hit the gym as hard without my tunes as well.

I use the Tuneband armband, I'm planning on using it for when I get my s3. I would recommend getting the armband extender, for just in case the band is too small.

It has a clear plastic cover, so you can still touch the screen.

Amazon.com: Tune Belt Sport Armband for Droid X, HTC ThunderBolt, Samsung Galaxy S & more (fits larger smartphones and some phones in protective cases): Electronics

I'd like to be able to see the screen but thats about all. Im mostly just paranoid of it falling out, especially after seeing those drop test vids...

Those look nice and secure, but do you think the s3 would fit in it? Its a much bigger phone than whats listed in the item description.

There are different sized armbands, depending on phone size, plus it does stretch as the material is neoprene.

The one I have now is for my iPhone and I use it in the gym and while jogging, and never had an issue with it falling out. You can even call the company, their website is and they are very helpful. I called them a few years back when I had a question about the iPhone fit and the extended armband.

I had some generic one for iPhone that I bought (either on Meritline or DealExtreme, or any of those China import sites probably) to use with the international Galaxy S2 (i9100). It was a good fit (my phone is commando). The S3 just fits nicely. It's a little snugger, but that's a good thing, especially in the gym.
