    Default Exchange Activesync & Wifi

I am wondering if anyone is able to help me resolve this issue. I have my school's email setup to come to my phone. When I am on the network, it connects to the server just fine. However, as soon as I turn on my home wifi, it gives me the message that it is unable to connect. Turn wifi off, then I'm good to go again. This is the only device this has ever happened on. Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA.

    Update:

It seems it just took a lot of adding and deleting of the account to get going. I set up the account using wifi instead of via the network and it was working fine mostly.

It could be possible that the wifi you are connecting to does not allow those connections. Some network admins don't open those ports.

That doesnt sound right. Are you using the mail program that came with the S3? Im using EAS, but using touchdown as my mail client (mostly for its ability to filter message and sound different alerts based on rules). No issues getting/sending mail on either ATT's network or any wifi network I have connected to. Have you tried a different wifi AP to determine if the issue is related to the device or your home wifi?

I have two S3's that are doing something very similar.

I have two S3's connecting to our corp. exchange account.
If the cell radio is off or there is zero signal the phone is having difficulty sending emails on the exchange account on wifi only.
They get stuck in the outbox and I have to "resend" them multiple times sometimes.
Gmail, Google play and web browser all work flawless when on WIFI Only, Only the exchange email is failing.

I also turned off the "wifi power saver" fix and still have the problem.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

    Thanks

Was having the same problem on my Note 2. Crazy I deleted the exchange account and added back. Did not help. Then I restarted the device and much to my surprise it started working! I know i have restarted lots in the past several weeks when flying ... but it works now.

Wish I had your problem, I can't connect to my schools WiFi or get thru p their email on my phone unless I use their mobile site

Sent from my Google Nexus 7 running aokp 4.1.2, because there is no PacMan rom for the nexus
Android is a tune up sports car with custom interior, sound system, and IOS is a stock model benz

I use Android, because unlike IOS, i keep my apps in app drawers, and not infinitely cluttered homescreens

That's odd. Is it the way your school's network is set up? What device are you you using? The GS3?

Do you have security set on your home router? I can't connect to my exchange account when I'm using a public, open wifi network.
