To do this, I created this background:

I used Nova Launcher with height and width margins set to 0, grid is 7 tall by 4 wide. Icons are SMPL White Theme found in the Play store.

The widget at the top of each screen is Minimalistic Text.

And my lock screen, I got the unlock circle in widget locker lined up with the paper, and the unlock circle expands to just beyond the edge of the circle when you are unlocking.

Try using the FREE app Zedge for Wallpapers, Ringtones etc... or HD Wallpapers. Or Google a specific image and you can always save and download one of the images and "Set as Wallpaper." Hope this helped.
